KCW Day 1: Pipi’s Pineapple Peplum

Yay! It’s the first day of Kid's Clothes Week. I have to confess that I sewed this one day early as I have family visiting today.

Second confession, I actually sewed this for Isabelle but something went wrong (I’m not entirely sure what, but possibly it was the fact that I used a less stretchy jersey fabric rather than cotton spandex as per the pattern recommendations.) Note to self: Always read the pattern, second note to self: just because you have successfully sewed a pattern before (see here), don’t rest on your laurels and skip ahead without reading the instructions properly. Oh well it fits Pipi well and looks pretty cute.

The pattern I used is the Bow Back Beauty by Little Kiwis Closet. It’s such an awesome pattern!

Can you tell that I’m dreaming of being in warmer climates? (It’s mid-winter here)… so I guess that’s my take on the traveling theme.

I like sewing warm weather inspired clothing in the winter. My niece is always happy to oblige by layering her fun summer dresses in the winter. It sure is a nice escape. I love the pineapple top!

Luckily for you, you have another cute daughter to fit the oopsies that we all make :)) Very cute and I love the open back detail in the back!
