Do you like this little baby doll carrier I made for Isabelle? She sure does, so much so that she went down for her day sleep still ‘wearing her baby’.
I used the Kid's dolls carrier PDF pattern from Little Kiwis. This pattern was great, with clear, simple instructions and helpful photos. There are 3 minor variations you can choose to make. I chose to make it using the second option, meaning that it is reversible. The main fabric as shown above is Michael Miller little birds fabric that I had been saving for something special and on the inside I used two different pieces of fabric that I had received as part of this year's scrap bag swap.
As well as being a front pack, it also doubles as a front pack – but once I got it on Isabelle, was I going to be able to get it off her? Not likely! She only very reluctantly let me turn it round to show the reverse side, and then she away taking ‘her baby’ on various adventures.
Riding ones scooter while eating a cookie and wearing ones baby – how’s that for multi-tasking?
Isabelle decided that the carrier was also a great place to carry her cookie. This resulted in a very crummy doll! (Please excuse my overgrown lawn!)
