Isabelle’s Doll Carrier (plus a pattern GIVEAWAY!)

baby doll carrier

Do you like this little baby doll carrier I made for Isabelle? She sure does, so much so that she went down for her day sleep still ‘wearing her baby’.

I used the Kid's dolls carrier PDF pattern from Little Kiwis. This pattern was great, with clear, simple instructions and helpful photos. There are 3 minor variations you can choose to make. I chose to make it using the second option, meaning  that it is reversible. The main fabric as shown above is Michael Miller little birds fabric that I had been saving for something special and on the inside I used two different pieces of fabric that I had received as part of this year's scrap bag swap.

As well as being a front pack, it also doubles as a front pack – but once I got it on Isabelle, was I going to be able to get it off her? Not likely! She only very reluctantly let me turn it round to show the reverse side, and then she away taking ‘her baby’ on various adventures.

Riding ones scooter while eating a cookie and wearing ones baby – how’s that for multi-tasking?

Isabelle decided that the carrier was also a great place to carry her cookie. This resulted in a very crummy doll! (Please excuse my overgrown lawn!)

So do you wanna win your very own copy of this PDF pattern?

Here’s how…

pattern giveaway

For your first (and mandatory) entry you just need to visit the Little Kiwi's website, and comment back here with your favourite product. (As well being a very talented pattern designer, Lydia the owner of Little Kiwis makes and sells gorgeous babies and kids clothing – more on this in an upcoming review post.)

You can also earn bonus entries as follows (please leave a separate comment for each):

Bonus entry 1# Follow this blog (GFC/ Bloglovin'/ Facebook)

Bonus entry 2# Like Little Kiwis on Facebook

Bonus entry 3#  Share this giveaway on your choice of social media (FB/ twitter/ blog)

That’s a total of 4 possible entries each!

[The T’s & C’s: Please leave separate comments per entry and include your email address if it’s not linked in your profile. The winner will be drawn on 2 September 2013 at 8pm (NZ time). This giveaway is open INTERNATIONALLY and the winner will be emailed the PDF pattern. If the winner cannot be contacted after 2 weeks, a new winner will be drawn.]

And just in case you’re wondering if these are just for little girls – I says NO! Noah has already put in his order for what he calls a ‘man-pack.’ (And after all I’ve always thought that babywearing Dads’ are pretty awesome!)

Good luck all (and keep your eyes peeled for my Little Kiwis clothing review post coming up soon.)

Awesome! I think you need to rig this so I can win! Milla has suddenly become so obsessed with her dolly (and its not even a real doll). I need to make some clothes and fun things for it / her!

Loving all the hand made clothes on little kiwi! Do they sell these patterns? I couldn't find the link for it?

x

I love the pinnys! Unfortunately I only have a boy... On a side note, I met Lydia at a wedding few years ago, and her little boy was wearing a gorgeous vest and pants. Would love to know if she has any plans to make pattern for those.
