Weebits specialise in eco-friendly knitted designer garments for newborns to toddlers. In other words, they are makers of ‘wee bits of woollen deliciousness.’ (My words, but I’m sure you’ll agree!)
The lovely people at Weebits very kindly sent Pipi this lovely Singlet Dress. Pipi is wearing a size 0-3 months in soft pink, however it comes in 5 other colour options and is available in sizes ranging from Newborn to 1-2 years.
This little singlet dress is so warm and snuggly because, like the rest of the Weebits range, it is made using the only best merino wool sourced from New Zealand. Because of this and the fact the merino wool is coloured using ecofriendly dyes, Weebits garments are also eco-friendly (and so soft and gentle on our wee babes’ skin!)
These lovely garments are locally designed by Debbie, the owner and they are all “classic styling with a modern twist.” Debbie says ‘Whenever I create a new design it has always been important to me that the garments compliment each other to create a gorgeous ensemble for any little person.” They are locally made too. Weebits employees a couple of teams of local knitters to produce their beautiful babywear. Isn’t it nice to know that when buying these garments you are supporting NZ made?
Here are a few of my favourites (but to be honest, it’s pretty hard to narrow it down) :
Here are a few more reasons why ‘We love Weebits’:
- The quality is AMAZING! Sometimes with knitted garments I find that they look great, but then they’re worn and washed and never look the same again (and I’m super careful with my washing) – not so with Weebits. Talking from experience, if you drop some the chocolate from your trumpet icecream on your baby’s gorgeous singlet dress while feeding and then follow the wash/care instructions, it will come out and look just as good as new (such a silly thing to do!)
- Although the price might be higher than you’d pay for say, some mass produced baby clothes – the quality and classic styling means it will stand the test of time and can be handed down to other kids. In my opinion, these clothes are so gorgeous that they have a heirloom quality to them.
- As well as soft pink and powder blue – I just love the unisex colours that they use in their garments, natural, chocolate, mushroom and sage. It can be hard sometimes to find gender neutral babywear that is still beautiful – and for me, Weebits well and truly ticks that box.
Thank you Debbie from Weebits for letting us review your lovely babywear. We will be back for more, for sure!
