I’m wearing: Tunic/dress: Jay Jays (I’ve had this for years), breastfeeding singlet (underneath): Womama, Black Jeans: Postie, Merino Circle Top: made by me, jandals: Havaianas, necklace: Lisa Leonard.
I wasn’t really planning on doing a Wardrobe Wednesday post this week. I used to do them pretty much every week and enjoyed posting maternity style/ bump update posts (although I did kinda fall off the wagon at about 34 weeks didn’t I? Due to lack of energy rather than lack of outfits, I should add. ) However, I find that when I routinely try to write a particular kind of post each week it can become a bit forced/ less fun.
Because of this I was planning on taking a WW break for a bit – just doing outfit posts when the mood took me. Well… I guess the mood has took me yesterday because I took these photos. (This ‘mood’ was probably was brought on by the fact that I received two fun parcels yesterday – the 'pipi' charm on my Lisa Leonard necklace and a package containing 3 pairs of Havaiana jandals that I nabbed off NZ Sale for $3 each! I love those jandals!)
Like dressing a bump I also quite enjoy the challenge of dressing while breastfeeding; which in many ways seems harder than the former. I enjoy wearing dresses, so when I do at the moment they need to either be button down, wrap around or have a zip down the front (as in the case of the tunic I’m wearing here). I’ll often wear these with a breastfeeding singlet.
It’s got a lot colder round here (suffice to say that I’ll likely be only wearing my jandals indoors) and layering is in order. Here in the Hawkes Bay we often have frosty starts with glorious sunshine midday. For this reason I’ve been loving my merino circle top, it’s just so toasty! It works well as a breastfeeding cover up, when I want to be discrete while feeding in public.
P.S. Do any of you have any dressing while breastfeeding tips? I’d love to hear them!
P.S.S. Notice the little bit of art work (behind my head) that I’ve now hung on the wall?… awww
