A work in progress

I just thought I’d stop in and show you a little something I’ve been working on for the new baby. You may recognise it from the inspiration post I did on ideas for unisex baby rooms.

It’s a little felt hot air balloon and clouds mobile that I’m making using this awesome tutorial from 'Craftiness is not optional'.

It’s been a fun little project to chip away at in the evenings (and on a particularly rainy day recently.) And it’s been a good opportunity to re-teach myself blanket stitch (thanks youtube!) It’s such a simple yet effective stitch isn’t it?

I hope your day is going well? We’ve had a day of skyping relatives, toilet training and a tearful first swimming lesson (Noah) – I now hope to sit down and enjoy some peppermint tea and work a bit more on this while the boy’s at kindy and the girl’s asleep.

Joining in with my creative space and Show and Tell.

Oh, it's so cute! I'm going to make one for ours... At least I have 6 months - it takes me a long time to get around to these things!

How lovely! You are very clever. As for the first swimming lesson tears, my daughter screamed the place down on her first lesson... she's much more confident now thank goodness :)
