My Creative Space : Party Invitations!

Isabelle turns 1 on the 19th of this month (so very exciting and where has the time gone?!) And Noah is 3 on the 13th of December, so we are throwing a Princess and Pirate combined party for them in a few weeks.

I’ve been doing a bit of work on the invitations inspired by this pin.

Such an easy and cheap idea for invitations – I just hope some of the little boys receiving them don’t mind that they have a decent amount of pink on them. However I think this should be outweighed by the skull and crossbones!

And yes I’m well aware that the where when etc hasn’t been filled out yet – still trying to decide which weekend is best. (Actually on that note: if we do happen to have it on election day, is it bad form to turn up to the polling booth in full pirate garb?) (And of course I didn’t want to give out my address on the blog for fear that people would travel from the other side of the world to gate crash what will be the party of the year! Ha!)

I think the little clip art images are pretty cute … in fact they kind of remind me of a couple of little people I know …

And speaking of pirates – have you see these heartfelt pirate play crowns?!? They are ridiculously cute! I am extremely tempted to buy one have just bought one from her felt shop for part of Noah’s present and costume at the party.

To see what other creative people having been working on this week go here. (Joining in with ‘Our Creative Spaces’.)

very lovely cards - I adore the sewn bunting and might just pinch that idea from you for future card projects. The combined party sounds like it's going to be lots of fun.

Adorable invite! Birthday so close to Christmas have to be so organised dont they? I have a similar problem here. Happy birthdays to the small people.

Love your invites, I'm going to have to give that bunting a go myself on a card. Great idea.

Gorgeous invites! I'd be too lazy to do something that cool.

I love your invitations, they are gorgeous!
And it is definitely OK to turn up to polling day in a pirate (or any outfit)
